I wish you a healthy, invigorating and open-hearted New Year!
How about starting 2016 with gratitude instead of the usual New Year’s resolution? Are you aware of what you have and how comfortably off you are? Do you know that your heartfelt gratitude about these things attracts more of the same?
If we draw our attention to the positive in our lives here and now, it will grow. That doesn’t mean to ignore or deny everything that’s negative, but instead of wallowing in it (and therefore creating more of it) to focus on the positive – a conscious decision in the full appreciation of reality and all that isn’t (yet) how you would wish it to be. This requires us to leave the well known path of complaining about the not-so-good which can sometimes be challenging.
What did you enjoy today? Maybe last night’s dream; your partner’s kiss; a bird’s song; the walk with your dog; the rays of sunshine in your living room; the five minutes you dedicated to yourself today; the cup of tea and biscuit or your child’s smile? Are you grateful even for the tiniest good thing in your life? Then how about creating more of the same? Are you allowing yourself to pause and enjoy life gratefully? This too is only a decision away.
I am most grateful for you who is reading my words, and for the opportunity to express myself here! P’taah recommends reading, singing or meditating over his Morning Song regularly to nourish the feeling of gratitude and to multiply the positive in our lives. So, what are you grateful for today?
P’taah’s Morning Song
From the God/Goddess of my being I give forth thanks
for the love that I am,
For the love in my life and the love that surrounds me,
Thank you for the miracle of life that I am and
thank you for the miracle of life I see reflected all about me.
Thank you for the gift of life that I am.
Thank you for this perfect body, my health and well-being,
Thank you for the abundance that I am and
thank you for the abundance I see reflected all about me.
Thank you for the riches and the richness of my life and
thank you for the river of money which flows to me and through me,
Thank you for the excitement and adventure of the millions of wondrous
possibilities and wondrous probabilities,
Thank you for the wonderment and thank you for the joy.
Thank you for the beauty and harmony.
Thank you for the peace and tranquillity.
Thank you for the laughter and thank you for the play.
And thank you for the privilege of serving and sharing the gift that I am.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
